Privacy policy

This policy explains how Clear Concepts (“Clear Concepts”, “we”) handles personal data when you use clearconcepts.app, the tutor dashboard and the academy websites we host. We process personal data in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Who is responsible for your data
For tutor accounts, Clear Concepts decides how data is used. For learners, the academy you study with (the tutor or institute) decides what they collect and why, and Clear Concepts processes that data on the academy’s behalf to run the platform.
What we collect
- Account details: email address and a securely hashed password, or your Google account’s email if you sign in with Google.
- Learning activity: enrolments, lesson progress and video positions, test attempts and scores, certificates, lesson comments and coaching sessions.
- Profile answers an academy asks for when you enrol (for example class or target exam).
- Orders: what was bought, the amount and the payment status. Card, UPI and bank details are handled by Razorpay; we never see or store them.
- Technical data: IP address and request logs, kept to run, secure and debug the service.
How we use it
- to provide accounts, courses, tests, certificates and payments;
- to send service emails such as verification, password reset, enrolment and receipts;
- to send course announcements an academy sends to its learners, which you can unsubscribe from;
- to keep the service secure, including rate limiting and fraud prevention.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
- Your academy sees its own learners’ details, progress and results. Other learners see only masked names on leaderboards.
- Service providers that run parts of the platform for us: payments (Razorpay), video hosting and streaming, email delivery, hosting and content delivery (Cloudflare), and Google if you choose Google sign-in.
- Authorities where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep account data while your account is active. Single-use links (verification, password reset, invitations) expire and are deleted automatically. Orders are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Children
Many learners preparing for exams are under 18. A learner under 18 may use an academy only with the consent of a parent or lawful guardian.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or erase your personal data, withdraw consent, and nominate someone to exercise your rights. Learners can also contact their academy directly. Write to hello@clearconcepts.app.
Grievances
If you have a complaint about how your data is handled, contact our grievance officer at grievance@clearconcepts.app. You may also approach the Data Protection Board of India.
This website
clearconcepts.app sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers.
Changes
We will post changes here and update the date above. For significant changes we will also notify account holders by email.
